Renowned for their expressive tone and dynamic range that allow pianists to play with ease, this Kawai model KG-2S Grand Piano plays expressively, accurately and smoothly. Built in Kawai’s main factory in Hamamatsu, Japan, the KG-series was later re-branded to the RX-series which were also very popular.

This Kawai KG-2S grand is superb in every respect. A one owner instrument, impeccably maintained and in popular ebony polish! Aside from some light scratches on the top left of the music desk (likely from a non-padded metronome), the case is in wonderful condition and ready to be featured in anyone’s home.

This piano’s tone is European-inspired and mellow; not nearly as bright as some other Japanese manufactured models. The duration of tone is lengthy, the treble has a nice singing quality, and the bass response is excellent given the size of the scale. The overall tone quality is balanced across the compass of the keyboard. The middle pedal also has a true (full range) Sostenuto function.

The touch is extremely responsive. The sound can be powerful, but also warm and sweet. This instrument is capable of bringing the advanced player many years of fine piano performance pleasure, as well as a tremendous investment opportunity for the intermediate pianist who wishes to play on a superior instrument.
