The Kawai KG-2C baby grand piano is consistently noted as the most popular mid-size grand.
Coming in at 5’10” in length it offers a rich, full sound while still fitting manageable spaces like homes or studios.
We know this piano well. It was originally traded in to us on a larger model by good friends. It now comes to us from the second owner who is a music professor who has also moved up to a larger model.
ALWAYS well taken care of, the action is in great shape (as you would expect from a music professor’s home), the strings bright and resonant and the case finish gleams! Further, rosewood is extremely hard to find as not many were made and people don’t readily part with them.
Towards full disclosure – the only cosmetic indiscretion is that the piano was exposed to some sunlight over the past years and does show a fade line on the top when the piano lid is completely closed. Not a rare thing to find on any wood finish piano plus, it only comes into play when you have the piano totally closed up – which you rarely do – and which is why there is not even fading.
